Tagua Tagua
ABOUT
Based in São Paulo and formed in 2017, Tagua Tagua is led by songwriter and producer Felipe Puperi.
In 2020, the band released their first LP “Inteiro Metade”. The album intertwines tropical psychedelia and the influence of funk and soul all while being dominated by supple melodies and dreamlike timbres.
After years of praise in at home, they started to get some attention overseas with features on NPR, Remezcla, airplay on KCRW and KEXP, a sync on the FIFA 20 soundtrack and a couple of tours in the United States and Europe. The band supported shows for The Growlers, White Denim, performed at SXSW, Brasil Summerfest NYC and Lollapalooza Brasil.
In 2023, Tagua Tagua released their second album “Tanto”, via Wonderwheel Recordings.
Recently, they released a nine-track album "RAIO" (2025), a collection of upbeat songs with strong disco influences and they continue to tour the globe.
