Formed during their college days in 2016, Small Forward has become a staple in the Los Angeles’ diy scene, delivering their own brand of country-infused, nostalgia-laden indie rock. The band has steadily cultivated a devoted fanbase through the release of their self-titled debut album in 2020 along with a handful of singles and their standout 2017 EP ‘Affections’. Now in 2025, Small Forward return with their heavily anticipated second LP ‘Crush’—a self-prescribed rebirth for a band who have honed their craft and are ready to show it. The self-produced record is steeped in timeless melodies, craftily woven together amidst a backdrop of homespun indie and modern Americana. At 12 songs, “Crush” offers an intimate glimpse into love lost — a raw confrontation with isolation delivered through poignant and earnest songwriting.
