One Be Lo is a respected figure in alternative hip-hop. He first made a name for himself as part of the duo Binary Star, with their 1999 album Waterworld and its re-release Masters of the Universe (2000), both of which became cult classics. After parting ways with Senim Silla, One Be Lo launched a successful solo career, releasing albums like S.O.N.O.G.R.A.M. (2005), The R.E.B.I.R.T.H. (2007), and L.A.B.O.R. (2011), known for their deep, introspective lyrics and complex concepts. A member of the world champion B-boy crew, Massive Monkees, One Be Lo has lived in various places, including Egypt, which has shaped his artistic vision. Throughout his career, he has remained committed to authenticity, earning recognition as one of hip-hop’s most thoughtful and versatile voices.
