Carsick Cars
ABOUT
Carsick Cars was formed in March, 2005, by Shou Wang, Li Weisi and Li Qing in Beijing. Influenced by "the drone of Velvet Underground, Suicide and Sonic Youth and the textures and structures of Steve Reich and Glenn Branca", Carsick Cars remain one of mainland China's seminal, experimental noise-rock bands.
Carsick Cars' international touring history includes supporting Sonic Youth in Europe (2007), performing at the Steirischer Herbst Festival in Austria (2007) and All Tomorrow’s Parties in London (May 2008), and several U.S. tours (SXSW, etc.).
